PT Transjakarta won the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) award held by UN Women in Asia Pacific for its commitment to becoming an inclusive transportation through supporting gender equality and women's empowerment.

The award was received directly by Finance Director, HR, and PT Transjakarta President Director, Mayangsari Dian Irwantari at Shangri-La Hotel, Sudirman, Central Jakarta.
Transjakarta's Public Relations Department and CSR Head, Ayu Wardhani said Transjakarta was committed to realizing a company that implements gender equality and encourages women's inclusion.

She explained currently Transjakarta continues to prioritize empowering women in its work environment. The target to be achieved is to increase the involvement of female flight attendants by 30 percent and also the formation of the TJ Academy.
"This award is a manifestation of Transjakarta's commitment to continue to increase the percentage of women's involvement in various levels, from technical to management, by 30 percent," she explained.
She explained PT Transjakarta also provides a special Pink Bus service for women as a form of inclusive transportation. She assessed, the Pink Bus service is a form of Transjakarta's concern for female customers so that they can use public transportation safely and comfortably.
"Currently, the Pink Bus fleet operated by Transjakarta consists of 20 units. In addition, all Transjakarta bus fleets also provide special spaces for women," she explained.
As for the information, the WEPs awards are organised by UN Women and supported by the Australian Government's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the European Union Delegation to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam.
The ‘Gender Responsive Marketplace’ category is an award for businesses that implement a gender perspective across the value chain. Winners in this category have demonstrated a commitment to diversity by implementing policies and programs that are also progressive and gender inclusive.
